Re: Taking apart worm drive when....

wouldn't a steel washtub be the perfect size? like they use for redneck upright basses? i know you can get them at farm stores, although i don't know for how much. i seem to remember home depot has them, too, but don't take my word on that. i've been contemplating the best way to degrease the brake ...

Re: How Much OIL?

dan, if you're NOT running an oil filter, you use SAE 30 oil in the engine. it's non-detergent. i got mine at a farm implement store. you would only use detergent oil (examples: 5w/30, 10w/30) if you were running an aftermarket oil filter. the straight 30 oil works best because it traps all the impu...

Re: Wanted: PTO handle

After a fair number of old tow trucks, ranch trucks and 4x4's the PTO handle on older trucks was not a thing of beauty. Most of them were simply a piece 1/4 or 3/8" x 1 1/4" flat stock rounded off at the top. if you wanted to be fancy you ground it down and either threaded a ball onto it,...

Wanted: PTO handle

like the title says, i want a handle for my PTO.

i made one, but i want the real deal... or at least a detailed photograph. there seems to be a shortage of PTO handle information aside from "a flat bar with a bend in it".

PTO accessories? tell me what you have, but pics would be better!
