Re: 28 Windshield info
Thanks, it sounds like this windshield, while aftermarket, is the same size as the factory one. I guess I'll keep it....

28 Windshield info
I have an early 28 AA that was built as a firetruck and it appears to be either a 75A or 76A body. The door hinge posts are clearly part of the cowl, but the hinge holes have never been drilled for hinges. The windshield on this truck is an aftermarket folding one that I like very much, but it is ve...

Re: Early 28 Frame & Springs
Here are some photos. Your link does not show the differences between AA-5020 cross member and the AA-5020-B but this one looks the same as your drawings. That is, in my uneducated eye...

Re: Early 28 Frame & Springs
Pardon me for not knowing the differences between two different frames offered in 1928. I thought the left side brake handle indicated early 28. I'll get a photo today...

Re: Mitchell OD In MY AA - Update
I don't think my pump takes up any more space than the dual high does. I have one on the shelf and it extends down below the shaft centerline about the same as my pump. The shifter is attached via a special cast aluminum adapter supplied by Mitchell. The adapter bolts to the shift tower and is used ...

Mitchell OD In MY AA - Update
I posted this on the Ford Barn, but since I said I'd report back here, here it is... Sorry for the long post... I thought I should bring everyone up to speed on my Mitchell Overdrive installation in my early 28 AA Firetruck. This is a 36% overdrive unit with a 3 speed transmission and a high speed r...
