and the female gear on the coupling shaft in? This link may be the U-joint

I think the 1937 is a little easier to find and it has good breakdown
of the units also. Ebay has them. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1928-193 ... Literature

I don't have any extra parts Johnny. I bought a long wheel base coupling
shaft from Neil Wilson a couple years ago, he may have one for a short wheel base.

Are you going to keep the Dual High or take it out and
put in a longer drive shaft? If you are keeping the Dual High
they made a U-joint that bolts to the 4-speed and has the
correct splines for the Dual High.

Mike, You'll get a much better fit if you take them to an
automotive machine shop with a Sunnen hone and have
the bushings honed.

Re: How do I get High Low out of frame on Mr Doodles
Neil, I think what is on the back of the 4-speed is a cut down front support for the coupling shaft housing (AA-4810). The u-joint seems to be sticking out to far from the back of the transmission. I wonder if it was welded to the coupling shaft male gear (AA-4811) like they did to the drive shaft c...

Really no room for a bearing. Everything looks pretty good from the pictures, kind
of hard to stop the leaks the way they shortened it though.

Re: Mr Doodles needs torque tube removed
Hi john, There is a coupling that connects the drive shaft to
the pinion that could be worn or the u-joint between the Dual High
and the drive shaft.

Re: AA FRONT END
The AA steering arms are different but the balls are the same size as the A, and
the pitman arm is the same as the A. A&L can put new stainless balls on your
old arms.
