Re: 30/31 express bed for restoration

The 1930 Express body would be an 89-a. The 1931 Express body would be a 195-a.
Both of these bodies are for the AA 131.

Part TT-150-A1?

Part TT-150-A1 must be a hub cap. I am wanting to find out what it was for and/or used on?

I found it referenced on the 4/23/1930 Ford drawing for AA-1130-C rear hub cap (see attached drawing).

Octagon tool for AA hub caps?

Does anyone know of a source for an octagon tool for the 2" octagon of the 1930-1932 AA hub caps.

FYI – I already know there are other ways to remove/install these hub caps. Internet sellers do not specify their tool's wrench size (that I can find).

Re: Side View Mirror Bracket AA-17698 (14-11/16" long)

Hi Neil, I was able to get the bracket. I intended to use the mirror I currently have on the short arm, but the short arm has a recess in the hole for the mirror stud. On the long arm, the threaded stud of the mirror will not go all the way through the mounting hole because there is no recess. Can ...

Re: Early Production 28 AA

The 75a did not get released by Ford until 1931. It was a chassis seat not a chassis.
Your a would have been produced as a chassis and would not have included the hinge pillars nor the windshield. That would most likely have been provided by the independent body supplier.

Re: Installing window glass

28/29 windows . I have tried 4 different way. Glass is cut 19" one end and 20 on other. I can make it close good at top, but when down its low up front and high at rear. I assume this is correct because when down it hit rubber cushions. Langan, For the 82-A closed cab, the rear of the door gla...

Re: Looking for used 28/29 grill gaurd.

I am guessing that "grill guard" = "radiator shell". A 1928/1929 AA with closed cab would be an 82-A cab. FYI – AA-vehicles with closed cab came with one side view mirror. Original mirror bracket information is found at https://aafords.com/aa-body-types/mirrors/#pib. Original mir...
