Dismantling doors
Hi, Having a really frustrating time getting my '29 doors apart. Most of the screws are stuck fast and have resisted all my normal tricks of removal so have had to drill a number out. But what has me stumped is how the inside surround for the window comes out. there are three screws in the top which...

Re: warford 2023 counter gear cluster
Kevin,
This is what mine looked like when I first opened it up. The gears look fairly original without too much wear - not sure if this helps?

Not sure yet Kevin, haven't fired it up yet as still getting the wiring done . Haven't had as much time as I would like lately - been making Christmas presents!

Re: warford install, shift tower hole
Hi Kevin, No, I didn't have to modify any of the U joints - I thought I may have to as they all needed to push right to the ends of the splines but they seemed to do that fine. You are right, it is quite a mission to get in, especially if you are on your own. I think having an extra pair of hands wo...

Re: warford install, shift tower hole
No it was on the wrong side and too far out - for the Warford. Maybe it was for the original ford auxillary transmission?

Re: warford install, shift tower hole
Optical illusion, the Warford is dead center and the original hole was off center.

Re: WTB - Windshield frame
Thanks Kevin, I would prefer a rusty one but if nothing else is available it could be a good back stop!

WTB - Windshield frame
I need a windshield frame for an 82-A cab. Rust is OK but prefer one with no holes and reasonably solid! let me know what you have and price.
thanks

Re: Truck progress photos
It's been an exciting few weeks finally getting my cab put together. Generally it has gone together pretty well with only minimal pushing and pulling to get bolt holes to line up. I was really surprised how rigid the back of the cab became once the seat braces went in. The hardest part was getting t...

Re: warford install, shift tower hole
This is what I had to do to my floor pan to get the Warford in . I enlarged the hole on one side so I could get the oil filler plug out. I'll pit a rubber plug in the original hole.

Re: Truck progress photos
I am sure you are correct Chris! One big problem with keeping the rust patina is doing repair work to panels so that it matches. And there is no way my truck is original as it has parts from all years in it so it will never look correct, no matter what. The important thing to me is I am having a lot...
