clamps may have been used as it may have been difficult in the manufacturing process to get a lip large enough to get a bolt hole in.

Or ? There may have been a really good clamp sales man or woman around. I have seem stranger things in my twenty five yrs. supplying parts to the OEMs.

You lost me with the Oval hole and threaded stud to hold window open. My 28 dose not have that. Did you try looking at vendors for similar parts? may lead you to what is what.

I would think a creative person could make up something that would fit in tight and have a felt insert that will stop the 600 weight from moving out too far. Also in some states, Mich. you may not have the triangle ' slow moving vehicle ' signs on anything but farm equipment. not by driveways, mail boxes, etc, either. So my truck is now a 'farm' truck. :wink: now all i need is a farm to go with it. Like what was mentioned, Police have better things to do.
