Model A Restorer or Model A News magazine had a article about 2-3 years ago. you might want to try the Ford Barn web site. Someone there might have contact info.

1930-1931 rear axel seals
Does anyone have cross over numbers for seals for rear axle housing ? Requires 2 outer flange type(outer end of housing), needs 2 inner axle seals and drive shaft seal. Is there any manuals that give step by step instruction on rebuilding these rear ends? Does the pinion just pull out or do you need...

Re: rear end rebuild
I AM NOT AN EXPERT BUT THEY SUPPLY TWO DIFFERENT THICKNESSES SO YOU CAN ADJUST THE PRE LOAD ON BEARINGS. IF YOUR JUST REPLACING SEALS YOU CAN PROBABLE USE SAME THICKNESS AS WAS REMOVED. MODEL A WEB SITES MAY HAVE MORE INFO ON CAR REBUILD AND THEY ARE VERY SIMILAR.
