towtruck,
I remember this issue being discussed here before. Something about not being a brace between the truck and the towed car. I think if you search for it on this forum you'll find it.

Re: callout for twin cities, MN past and present AA owners!
Well,,,,,,,,, I'll give it a shot. When you say manifold is that intake or exhaust? Tiny fires are not good. Is it backfiring through the intake? Do you have good fire at each plug? You also need vacuum and compression on each cyl. Hold your thumb over each plug hole while you are cranking it to che...

Re: Front End Identification?
I put a 31 front axle in our 32 a few years ago. I think the spindles and drums were different, also the spring. Other than that the markings were the same. The brake parts are the same. The 32 front drums should work on the back of a 31.

I used a belt sander and wore a respirator.
You might want to use a framing square off the end of the axle to make sure the lining are square with the axle.

Thanks Brady.
I Don't know anything about dating V-8s But I have been told that very few of the 32 V-8 engines survived.

Re: Model BB Purchase
Looking good NDT.
What I meant was, would a 32-34 heavy truck that originally had a flat head V-8 be identified as a BB? Would the VIN start with BB?

Re: Model BB Purchase
Good to see the 32-34 trucks on this forum. I have never found a site dedicated to BB trucks. Is a 32-34 heavy truck with a V-8 considered a BB ? I think cars with 4cyl. are B's, but with a V-8 they are called something else.

What are your plans for this frame? With a 112" wheel base and no intermediate shaft I think it was shortened.

Aftermarket Hoist
I'm planning on doing some cleaning up this year and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in the hoist that was on our 32 AAB. I think it could be cut down enough to fit an AA frame. It did work but it leaked. There is a manufacturers sticker on it but it is unreadable. It is stored away ri...

Re: 28/29 AA for sale
To each his own I guess. But I can't see why anyone would want to chop the top of an AA. There is not a lot of room inside to begin with.

Re: new owner... with questions/want ads
Welcome to Big Iron. There are some very well informed folks who freely share there knowledge on this forum. I think if you do some searching on these forums you will find answers to most of your questions. Also Vince Falters Ford garage, and the Ford Barn are two more good sites. Unless your engine...

Re: 1929 aa stakebed
OK Shelby now I understand. I looked on Vince Falters Fordgarage site
http://www.fordgarage.com/
and he has some good pictures showing the difference between the 28-31 and 32 oil pans.
There is an old PA Dutch saying " Ya grow too soon old and too late smart".

Re: 1929 aa stakebed
Shelby, That's my mistake. I thought all model A's had some sort of dipper tray. Sorry for the misinformation.
