If you do hit the axle with a BFH, just be very careful. I know of a guy who doing the same thing and when he hit the nut it broke and a piece came flying up and hit him in the eyebrow and he needed a few stitches. Good luck.

Re: Tire purchase help
650's seem a little big for a '28? Anyways did you check Tams, Bratton's, or Mac's? You could try a local tire place, but they might also not have a clue what you're talking about. I think a 5" liner should be fine. if the brass valve stem tubes are the same price as the rubber, I would go with...

Kingpin Bushings
I've called a few places with no luck. Does anyone know where I can find just the bushing for an AA kingpin set? I have some kingpins but don't have any bushings to go with them.

That's crazy, I never realized that it was a different PTO for the dual high. I'll have to keep my eye for one of those.

Re: Help with rear axle
I think that the worm drive axle is set up like the a axles so there are no bearings in the hub end of the axle. I believe it is just a seal because your bearings are in your hub. I believe that is what makes them semi floating axles. You can check this thread out too, it has a couple of drawings an...

I know that i've seen at least those sheet metal pieces at my parents house. I'm not sure if those rubber pieces are still attached to them or not.

Silly question, but how did you cut them? Wire cutters or cut off tool? Wasn't sure if they were hardened or not.

Re: SACRAMENTO VINTAGE FORD OLD CAR AND ROD MEET
About those spring hangers, unless they were changed, they're not '33 or '34. Not so sure about '32 or '35, would have to look. So if it is a '32 chassis, then, they would've had to change the axle. Just what I noticed. Cool pics though.

Re: Steering Column Question
Yes. Some of the early 30's may have a splined wheel, with a 30/31 column.
