AA panel body
My father has an AA panel body that my uncle and grandfather had pulled out of a sand pit. It is in pieces and pretty rough shape. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in it. We're not looking to make a lot of money on it. I just hate to bring it to the scrap yard if someone wanted to put s...

Re: Clutch disc diameters?
I took the transmission out of my '34 and looked at the clutch. It is a 10" diameter spring loaded center section. The splines do line up with a model A car and truck and V8 3 speed. I looked in the Macs catalog and they have a 10" clutch for a 3 speed V8 that I'm am going to get. I though...

Re: lug nut finishes?
The aluminum paint has actually held up well. You could always touch it up after the fact if need be. Just my $.02.

Re: AA vs. A Engines
Didn't the second "A" get dropped in 1929 sometime? I thought I read or heard that somewhere.

Re: lug nut finishes?
You could paint them with aluminum paint. That's what my grandfather used to paint the locking rings and lugnuts on his '34.

Re: Wheel nuts
I would guess that they are original to space the wheel off the hanger so the wheel doesn't crack when you tighten it down?

Re: Wheel nuts
The 30-31 nuts will fit on the 28-29 studs, but they won't fit on the wheels right.

Re: Clutch disc diameters?
I thought that was the difference between the truck and car engines? I think the 10" would work in a car, but don't quote me on that one.

Re: Bolt pattern for '31 with Lincoln pattern wire wheels
I had found some Lincoln wheels down in Hershey a few years back and I remember them being the same pattern as a '34. I don't remember the actual measurements, but I do remember that they were the same. I almost bought them to put on a '34, but wasn't sure if they would fit over the floating axles, ...
