I am still looking for a 28/29 PTO that fits the two speed auxillary transmission.
Anyone?

Re: Exhaust
Thanks! Why I had forgotten the blue smoke/white smoke/black smoke I don't know. I don't think the radiator is plugged, since I had it redone a few years back, but I'll check it for flow. The water pump is borderline with chipped impeller blades. Maybe time for a repair on that. The muffler is split...

Exhaust
Is there a source for a proper exhast/muffler for an AA? I recall seeing the one made to clear the car chassis rear axle. Is that what you guys use? I must admit that I just cobbled up an exhast system years ago, but now the muffler has split and I'm interested in doing it right this time. By the wa...

I'm pretty sure mine was black before I painted it, although rust brown was also my dominant color!

Re: Rear Brakes Frozen
Well, I've been there with an AA and a Dodge PU. The best puller is one that bolts to the drum, and you will probably need a puller. I agree that a puller will not remove a drum that is frozen to the brakes, but some pressure on the puller can help you peel it loose. Too much and you'll bend your ba...

Old Tin Pusher,
Did you end up with a 4-bolt 28/29 PTO as you thought that you might?

Re: Don't join the broken arm club.
It is fun to show off the crank now and again. My brother's '25 T does not have the optional starter, so he's always giving it the crank, by the book of course. Who remembers the flywheel start that old John Deere's had. You grabbed onto the fly wheel, put your fingers into the grooves, lined up the...

Re: 6v to 12v?
Thanks for the answers. Pretty much what I thought. Those that want 12v, have fun and enjoy the radio! Of course, I always tell my kids that the reason Model A's don't have radios is the beatiful sound of that low compression 4-cylinder. Don't need a radio with that music! Now, I sure hope I don't h...

The old nickname back in the day was "Ford fracture". Tells you that you're not alone.

Re: 6v to 12v?
Dumb question. What is so bad about leaving it 6 volt? My '51 pu was 6v and started every day even at 30 below. The tractors on the farm were mostly 6v as well. By all means, if you want to convert go ahead. I just don't see the need. Can anyone enlighten me? I was told once that my generater proved...

Duals have a "no touching policy". They will heat up if they touch, since they will expand and contract and rub as they contact the pavement. Kaboom!

Re: Need PTO for 1928 AA with 3-speed/2-speed set up
I put a second ad on Fordbarn. Two "British" responses. One with broken English!! lol The other did not seem normal either.
I replied to the ebay ad asking for just the PTO. No response.
What is a good price for my unneeded PTO that fits the 4-speed? Yes, I am willing to sell it.

Re: Need PTO for 1928 AA with 3-speed/2-speed set up
Had the AA out for a spin Fathers Day Weekend. Fun. Came up dry on the PTO so far. Did not send money blind overseas. No bites on my ad. Summer has kept me busy so I have let it slide. I'll keep looking here and there. Anyone sees one, think kindly of me! Some one showed interest in my PTO to fit a ...
