Yes, I think it was - they were only marginally bigger bore ID than the shafts OD.

This wasn't my idea - I saw it on another post. These were done by boring out the ends of the guide holes slightly undersize for the copper pipe. I cooled the pipe in the freezer and then just hammered them in and sweated on the caps with solder. So far they haven't leaked but I have only been round...

Thanks Dave, that is certainly an option. I'd still like to hear from someone with one on the door pillar between hinges though, to see if it is in fact a nuisance!

Hi Neil,

I will post a clip photo when I get home tonight. My panels came from Cartouche, they were the only place I could find that did the 28/29 doors. The Snyder part number for the nails and sockets is A 46126-R. Photo from their website is below:
