Re: Project update
Here is a link to my gallery of Fords. The dump truck is listed under 'recent AA finds'. http://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gallery/displaygallery.php?userid=297159. The previous owner taught sheet metal fabrication in MA. He had his students fabricate new side and tailgate (likely paid for by MA taxpa...

Project update
Last week I pulled the cab, fenders, running boards off my 1930 AA long wheelbase truck. I found a barely legible serial number. My best guess is *AA3814417* which puts it on or after Aug 1930. I will restamp the number a few inches forward and keep the original number as is. Last thing on the frame...

Re: Service bulletins - seat back assy?
I took another look at the seat back today. It appears that the seat back I have is not correct for my truck.

Service bulletins - seat back assy?
On page 562 of the Model A Service Bulletins, it mentions a special seat back assembly. Does anyone have additional information or pictures of this seat back assembly? I have a 1930 closed cab. The seat back that I received with the truck is stamped sheet metal on the back side and regular seat spri...

Dump truck rebuild
I haven't had much time to actually do much on my 1930 trucks and frames. So last November I took my dump truck to a small shop that specializes in model AA's and A's. I was very lucky because the owner is very knowlagable and does maticuoulus work. I am also fortunate that he is only an hour drive ...

Re: Installing tubes in AA tires
I use the same type of air nozzle to fill tires. One change that I made was to remove the short rubber hose and replace it with a 10' hose. On the end of the hose, I attached a filler nozzle that clamps to the valve stem. That way if the tire blows I am a few feet away rather than having my face at ...

Model A Petcock?
Does anyone have a picture of an original Model A Petcock? Are they the same for 28-29 and 30-31? What about 31+? I found a bunch (22) of drain valves in an old industrial warehouse. They were used as drains on air lines. I think they look like Model A petcocks but I would like to compare it to an o...

Re: Truck Body Pedals
It looks like pedal extensions to operate the pedals from the right side of the car/truck (passenger side). Maybe to adapt the pedals for right-hand drive?
