Re: AA Truck Club shirt design

You should talk to Don Doan of Calif. He faced the Ford licensing issue with apparel for old Ford Tractor club and can tell you lots. He wasn't even trying to use the Ford oval, just a photo of one of his tractors, and they wanted him to stop! His email is: don(at)thetractornstore(dot)com

Re: AA crank and tire tool (lug wrench)

The cranks seem to be fairly easy to find. The hard part for me to find is the correct lug wrench bar, which could have been used for a lot of things, and obviously easily separated from the wrench itself as the years went by. My wrench is 15 inches long.

Re: Bod full of KR WILSON tools on eBay

Gee, could it be that KRW actually made some tools for something other than A's and AA's? They even got into marine conversions for flathead V8's by 1941.

Re: Platform and Type of wood used.

5/4 is the nominal size. If you are talking maple, and it is surfaced one side, it will be 1 1/8 thick, whereas if it is surfaced two sides, it will be 1 1/16 thick. You may be able to use this to avoid having to plane the planks down to get the final composite thickness you are shooting for. See [u...

Re: Trouble with my new bus

Ken, there is a curved-top school bus in this Ford film:

and a good section on working a dump truck and a coal truck.

Ken, I enjoyed looking at your bus last Sunday. Is the broken spring 3/8 thick?

Re: Pics of late 31 firewall needed

There are no holes on the right side of the firewall other than the holes for the vacuum wiper bulkhead fitting, the fuel line and for the patent data plate.

Re: speedo renumber ???

Dan, I believe Cushman does most of them now. They normally keep some of any kind done and ready to ship, but if you really want yours back, they can track it through their process and do that for you. The decals have, historically, not been of the exact font, unless they have recently changed, but ...

Re: 1929 floor plans?

This is a diagram Brattons uses to help customers order and assemble floor board parts. It may be of some help to you. Unfortunately it does not have holes for dual high, but if it did it would probably screw up some people who don't have that, but went ahead and put the holes in anyway! Order parts...
