Re: Radiators - pressurized, flat tube, rows???

My Understanding is: More tubes equals more cooling capacity. Dimples equals better cooling capacity. Presurized is a modern thing. It increases the boiling temp. If your going for original the parts dealers willl tell you what "belongs" in your truck. I have a '28 flatbed. It is an unpres...

Bob: When you say too narrow, do you mean the over all length as too narow for the truck? Or too narrow as fitting up into the cross member?

Re: AA lift kit?

At this point , I just want it level and enjoy it first. Already have radiator out getting repaired and now would be the right time to do it. What spring do I buy. Seen eBay have some. Cheaper than macs and snyders. 10 leaf ? 12 leaf? What's the difference? Load capability? Does more leafs make it ...

yup. I was told the gap was put there to collect all the leaves and other junk that can get jamed in there. It gives you something to clean.

Re: AA lift kit?

Yes. Mine has a slant toward the front. Looked at the spring this morning and it does not look healthy. Spring clamps rotted off as well. I found on eBay some springs that are 28" to 35.5". I am assuming that the larger spring would lift higher when installed. Am I correct in this? Anyway...

Re: Sail Panels on stake racks

Go ahead with the bolts. You can always switch to rivets latter. Take the time to make yourself a drill guide to hold the drill bit on center of the rivets. It'll save time and broken bits.

Paint or not, Ford Script

Is the "Ford Script" on the back of the bed of a panel truck supposed to be highlited in a different color? Presently it is the same color as the rest of the platform and it barely shows. Any suggestions? And what is "correct"?

Re: Worm Spline Number

Just because a rear end is marked low speed doesn't necessarily mean it is low speed. The gears sometimes have been swapped out as was the case with my truck. Yup. I know. But this one has been in the family all the time so I'm quite sure it was not changed. Also the ratio of Rev. on drive shaft to...

Re: Looking for an AA engine block-Prefer early 31

I still do not understand, If the model "A" engine is the same as the model "AA" engine other than the second "A" stamp , why ?????. The serial # and engine will not match any way. My 1929 has an "A" engine in it, the truck is registered by the # on the frame...
