Hello Eric,
FYI - Based on a for archive photo, the jam nut on the swivel bolt was cadmium plated.

Mike, I checked three of my cabs. There is a lower moulding as part of the rear panel. The moulding has a flange at the bottom which turns in 90 degrees and fits to the bottom of the rear channel of the cab. It feels like the back panel flange is spot welded to the channel. If you want some pictures...

If you don't want to take the transmission tower off, you can turn the engine over with the hand crank with both transmissions in the straight through position (i.e. 1:1 ratio). Count the number of engine revolutions to get the one wheel (off the ground) to turn once. Then double the count. The high...

Boomer, It is likely that the engine in you AA is the original. When the engines got changed in an AA, it was usually replaced with an A engine. AA1865050 is for a July 1929 engine assembly. This would have gone into a July, August, or September 1929 AA. There may also be a date stamped into the fir...

Randy, Once you mount a spare wheel on you AA157, please measure from the inside of the frame to the edge of the wheel (right and left). This is at the center line of the wheel. When I made this measurement it was 5-1/2” on the right and about 6-1/2” on the left. I would need to level my AA157 frame...

Neil, Thanks for your input. I asked him about the wheel stud length and he said he had no problem, though I was a bit skeptical. He also claimed 60mph with the 6.50s and 50 with the 6.00s. I guess the 6.00s are the way to go. I was just digging for info before I buy new tires, It's a project and I'...

Hello Randy, Okay on your first two pictures showing that the right and left stops extend straight out from the frame side members. I had questioned this based on conversations with Bud Valerius. I did some more measurements of the wheel carrier (with wheel) on my AA157. The rivet holes for the stop...
