Re: '28/'29 Rescue

Thanks for the shared interest in my pasture find! Here are some things I've learned about it, and if I am mistaken on any points, please do advise accordingly. It has the screw on gas and rad caps, as does my other AA which is a '29 bodied 'early' '30 (June) which I have heard is correct for commer...

Re: '28/'29 Rescue

Many thanks to JBeavers for selling and delivering the wood flatbed many moons ago. I'm finally getting to work on it. I have been at odds with myself over modifying this wood bed to fit my truck, because I love to keep things in their original state and usually go to great lengths to preserve rathe...

'28/'29 Rescue

I really fell in lust with this thing when I found it! PTO, worm gear drive rear end, whats not to love? It only took a couple years and two moves to get it from Wichita KS to North Texas, but I finally got the old '29 ('28 ?) home this Spring. A big dose of life prevented doing much with it til now...

Re: 1928/29 Wire Wheel WANTED

Hey, thanks, I have just made a gentlemen's agreement on some but I wouldn't mind getting a couple more for another project. Yes, I would definitely find another solution rather than pay that much.

1928/29 Wire Wheel WANTED

I have four for my truck but one is badly rusted through. I'm looking for just one in fair to salvageable condition, beat up and a bit rusty is ok. Thanks!

Re: Wooden Flatbed Plans WANTED

The pics are great. Looks like some nice work there. It looks like I have a used bed on the way, it needs some restoration work and should suffice as an 'authentic' part for my truck project. I may be looking for a cab, or I may want to build one of those open wooden canopy cabs that I have seen on ...

Re: Wooden Flatbed Plans WANTED

I am in North Texas, I occasionally go to Kansas and may go to the Dakotas in the Spring. Shipping might be an option. Depending on what you want for it and how it would pack up, it may be worth considering. Thanks!

Wooden Flatbed Plans WANTED

I am bringing in a 29 AA chassis, no cab, but has all the tin from the cowl forward. I am considering building a flatbed for it. I have fairly good carpentry and metalworking skills and am looking for a set of plans or blueprints to avoid 'reinventing the wheel'. Thanks in advance for any informatio...

Seeking Transport / Hauling

I purchased a '29 AA located in North Dakota and would like to get it delivered at least as far as to Kansas. Depending on the rate, I may want it brought all the way to Texas. No big rush, but looking to get it done soon. What is the best way to locate an affordable and reliable hauler? Thanks!

Re: 31 delux wire wheels

[quote="ModelAkid"]"If it is an early 30 how are the 28 wire wheels fitting on the 30 hubs?" "Bolting up" and "fitting" are 2 different things. Notice how far out the wire wheel is on the right front. If it had the weight of all the tin, engine and trans, the ...

Re: new member seeking help

Even if the carb is new, it could have been on the shelf a while. Needle/seat or float could be hanging up. I usually leave the flange on the intake and put a bucket under the carb to catch the gas before removing the bowl. Go gently and you won't even have to buy a new gasket.

Re: stuck distributor

I used CLR once in a similar situation involving aluminum alloy parts. It wasn't pretty, but it worked when nothing else did.
