Re: Stake Bed Rails - Securing them in bed "pockets"
Neil, Thank you. Looking at the stake bed and stake rack drawings at the link you provided I definitely have a 88A platform with 188A Stake Racks Version 3. When the truck was restored back in 1989-91 the restorer must have had a copy of the original Ford drawings (from where you got your drawing pa...

Re: A Sad Story
I am getting seat belts installed in my AA. I see the point re lap belts vs shoulder belts. Has anyone installed shoulder retractable belts? Any suggestions on how to do that without major or ugly surgury?

Re: Long mirror arm
All, I am having my short drivers side mirror lengthened and a duplicate (attached to wind shield pillar, not door hinges) made for the passenger side. I will pass on dimensions and photos when done. They may be willing to do others.

Stake Bed Rails - Securing them in bed "pockets"
My AA overheated again on 50 mile drive despite stopping x 4 times to cool and add coolant. So decided to have towed to shop to see if I had bad water pump, etc. During tow on top of a flat bed roll on tow truck we hit a bump and one, then three other of my (bueatiful) rails bounced out of the bed a...

1928 Model AA "Best of Show" (based on attendee votes)
Drove my Truck to my first local Truck/Car/Motor Cycle Show this past weekend. By the way it won "Best of Show" [based on attendee's voting for their top-5 "favorites" out of about 60 vehicles]. Nice to know an old Truck can win over lots of hot rods, classics and muscle cars. On...

Re: Long mirror arm
Add my name to the long mirror bracket list for the right side and the left (though I still do not know where to mount the passenger side mirror...) as someone suggested, the visor screws seem like a way to mount a passenger-side mirror without messing the hinges up...? One of my earlier Posts point...

Re: 1928 4 Speed? Plus AA Mirror advice
KVO, Thanks, I am embarrassed, it "looked" like the bottom of the radiator from the back...so obviously I am not seeing the bottom of the radiator yet. Does it have a petcock? I will look for the overflow tube to add a hose and also try the drain test (4 seconds after pull off lower hose) ...

Re: 1928 4 Speed? Plus AA Mirror advice
Hello everyone, Drove Truck last weekend about 25 miles round trip. Before leaving checked Oil level (fine). o Radiator: Checked radiator and put three (3) 16 Oz bottles of water in it. Bought radiator cap manometer and truck was in temp range on thermometer during the drive. When got back to barn r...

Re: 1928 4 Speed? Plus AA Mirror advice
KVO. I like your rear view mirror idea do you have a picture of bracket you made and mirror you used? .Rear window frame design just tells you which cab, right? No date associated? Large 2 ft diameter stain/ film (not really a puddle) on concrete this AM under radiator, greasy to touch but maybe res...

Re: 1928 4 Speed? Plus AA Mirror advice
Thanks all for replys. Learning something new about my AA everyday. Answering comments: Title/registration just has engine number as VIN so no help there. I will look for frame number and gas tank date to see if I am lucky. Do not know which rear end, can you tell by looking? Bought radiator cap w t...
