Re: Cartouche Upholstery Kit 82B Cab

I plan on buying the complete springs with covers installed from Lebarron & Bonney What is the premium for doing it that way? They don't post the price on their web site. Just this notation. "Upholstery Service: LeBaron Bonney will expertly cover your old springs, or you can buy new spring...

Re: Transmission bearing carrier wanted

From one extreme to the other. To some people this is a hobby. To others it is their retirement fund. ;-) First we read; "I have both pieces and the special U Joint to go from a four speed to a 3 speed driveshaft is NOS. Not cheap." Then; "you can have them for whatever you think is a...

Re: Transmission bearing carrier wanted

All I needed to find when installing my Warford was the U joint. The Warford bolted right to the the bearing retainer on my May 1930 AA Four Speed.

Re: Transmission bearing carrier wanted

The part is a rear bearing retainer (not carrier). It is hard to find because it is not the standard production bearing retainer used by Ford. It was part of the coupling shaft released in 1932 which allowed the shaft to be removed without removing the rear axle. I hope you find one! If it is a '32...

Re: 1929 popcorn photos

Have you tried removing the pedals from the shaft, cleaning and greasing them? Spray Aerokroil ( http://kanolabs.com/ ) around the throwout bearing sleeve to get it workin. Grease the throwout shaft going through the bellhousing. I musunderstood when you said your clutch was stuck. You should have s...

Re: 1929 popcorn photos

A stuck clutch can be easily freed with only a jack. Firmly chalk the front wheels. Put a floor jack under the center of the rear end and raise the rear tires off the ground. Start the engine. Put truck in gear. Bring the engine up to speed. Hold clutch pedal to the floor and have somebody drop the ...

Re: Help with ID

AA1826250 under that was A2732811 Hmmmn. I think we need photographs here. AA1826250 is a Model AA truck built during June 1929. A2732811 is a Model A car built during December 1929. If both numbers are on the same pad on the block you most likely have a December, '29 A engine that was transplanted ...

Re: Two AA trucks for sale in the Brawley Calif. area

I would be interested in the flat bed on either truck. I have a 1930 131" wb with the same rear end as pictured on the truck without the "Ford" script. Do you know what he wants for any or all of the misc. pieces? I live in CA and could pick up the parts. Thanks for the great find. I...
