Re: Installation of Roof on 28/29 style Cab
I just purchased volume 2. What about volume 1 and 3. Are they redundant to volume 2 or would it be good to collect all three?

April 1930 flatbed U-bolt needed.
I have a april 1930 flatbed truck. It has a small u-bolt in the back and middle to hold on the flatbed. The front has a couple of long bolts with plates. I am missing one of the rear u-bolts with the frame spacer. Does anyone have one they are willing to sell or trade. I have one extra middle one wi...

Installation of Roof on 28/29 style Cab
I am ready to install the roof on the cab of my 28/29 style truck cab. I live in Southwestern Michigan and am looking for someone that I can hire to do this for me. Preferrably within about 3 hours of me. I am 2 hours from Chicago, 3 hours from Indianapolis, and 2.5 hours from Detroit. If you know o...

Re: Dump Hoists
I have a neighbor that has a 30/31 open cab with gar wood dumb bed on back. It is complete with hydraulic lift powered from PTO. This is unrestored condition with head removed from engine. Mostly complete. If you are interested I could get a price and some pics.

Re: No spark??
Good news - I checked the voltage at the points and it had voltage. The only thing I did was pulled out the old condenser from the side of the distributor. This was suggested by a friend of mine based on the fact that I installed a new distributor with modern condenser on top. They stated that insta...

Does the welting go in before final paint or are the fenders installed after final paint?

Order of assembly for paint and roof.
I have my body nearly complete and ready for paint. My roof material is not on - just wood. I also have the doors, fenders, hood and radiator support currently off. Would you recommend assembling everything then paint or paint then assemble. How about the roof - should I have the material installed ...

Re: Looking for skid strips for a 1929 platform bed
I would really like to trade them for the rear racks that I need. I have everything to complete my truck except the 4 rear racks for my bed. I will take some pics over the holidays and post to let you see what condition they are in. I normally like trade vs. sell but we may be able to work something...

Re: No spark??
Thanks - We will check the points. I did set the distributor up with the pin in the front but it had me set the rotor 180 out from #1 - Is this correct?? With #1 cylinder at TDC and pin in detent I rotated the rotor to exactly facing the fire wall - 180 out from #1. I am assuming that the number one...

No spark??
I am attempting to get my early 30 AA running after sitting for 60 years. I went thru the entire engine and everything looked great - good compression - I did upgrade the head. I installed new distributor, new coil, new key switch, new cable from key switch to distributor, new plugs and wires. I ins...

Re: Looking for skid strips for a 1929 platform bed
My AA is an early 30 and has the 28/29 cab. I assume the bed would also be 28/29?

Re: Looking for skid strips for a 1929 platform bed
I have 5 or 6 good strips from a 1930 model aa stake bed - 8 foot long. 2 were damaged beyond repair but the others were very salvagable. I am looking for the rear locking stakes on my bed - any chance you have any??
