Re: Coolant system question!
I take that back, Too much. The replacement can be had with Std. or 'cut down' veins. cut down are so they don't move too much and pump out the over flow tube. Do you have a heat problem? It starts puking out the overflow before it even warms up. I had a 6 lb pressure cap on it and the pressure ble...

Re: Rod knockin'
I lucked out on this one, turns out my timing was too far advanced. Retarded the time, and the rattle stopped!

Re: Rod knockin'
Did you ever find that rattle? mine just started doing the same thing. My engine is a fresh rebuild by Antique EnginesChris Haynes wrote: ↑March 14th, 2018, 10:19 amIt may not be a rod bearing. My engine is still running smooth at idle and low speed. When I accelerate to mid range or higher it has a ferocious hard rattle.

Re: Installing a 30-31 hood and radiator shell on a 28
The deuce grille is always an improvement on any vehicle. Like I said in my earlier reply you needed to change to the 30 31 front cross member as the 28 29 is higher on the radiator mounts and it shows up on your truck. Your radiator is higher than your cowl. It's a little thing and if it doesn't b...

Re: How many classes of AA trucks
I have heard a lot of stories like that, and seen pics of some pretty heavy payloads on these trucks

Re: How many classes of AA trucks
It only makes sense that the dual wheels would increase payload, as I have seen video of them loading these trucks pretty heavy back in the day on road construction and dam building projects. Would be nice to know for sure, so I can license mine accordingly. Not that I would haul that much anyway, but

Re: Relocated fuel tank
I believe you quoted the wrong comment. The comment you quoted (which was mine) makes no mention of butchering or anything being irreversible. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk I stand corrected on the miss quote, but I do care what people think of me and my truck, that is the only reason I had ...

Re: Relocated fuel tank
Ahhh geez not the old "it's your truck do what you want" or the "who cares what others think" logic. No one is disputing his right to do whatever it is he would like to do to his own truck. Take it off the frame and put it on an S10 frame. It's your prerogative. Who cares what o...

Re: Relocated fuel tank
Who cares what others say....it is YOUR truck and as I see it, it is better that it is out being driven and enjoyed instead of rusting away in a field or sitting in a storage shed. Thank you, that's how I feel. I love these old trucks and think what a shame that they are not out on the roads for pe...

Re: Relocated fuel tank
Good idea about the overflow tank. That's interesting about the oil. Where will it be dripping into? The oil canister has an adjustable vacuum injection system that is plumbed into the intake manifold. The mixture ratio is adjusted by a knob up at the jar. There are a lot of guys that tour their mo...

That jar thing is an oiler, I was introduced to that by an old time model A guy that drove his car as a daily driver. This keeps the upper end of the engine oiled. It ...
