Forum upgraded June 14, 2019

Hello AA'rs Tonight I upgraded the forum to the latest version. This was a particularly bumpy upgrade and the database backup I had created apparently was missing a few tables (argh!) so I couldn't roll back to the previous version like I have done in the past. It was either: roll back to last Febru...

Re: CAN'T GET INTO THE CLUB ???????????

Neils sites are: http://www.fmaatc.org/ http://www.aafords.com/ My site is: http://forums.aa-fords.com/ it would appear that Neils site has been hit by the redirect hack or something similar causing the visitor to be redirected to another site. NEW REGISTRATIONS - MUST READ!!

Hello future forum members! After you have registered for an account you MUST email the board admin to notify me that you have just registered for an account. The volume of BOT and SPAM registrations has gotten so bad that I'm unsure what is legit and what isn't. The obvious tip offs are there, but ...

Re: 994 KB Maximum Attachment Photo Sizes

We appreciate your continuation of this forum and efforts to resolve this strange issue. I asked one of my IT techy friends what it may be and he chucked and thought phpBB forums were dead  But as a crude work around if you set max upload to 3 MiB would it allow us to go past 1mb file size I ...

Re: 994 KB Maximum Attachment Photo Sizes

Ok, here's an interesting thing. Figured what the heck and would set the image size to 2048 KiB (2MB) and see what happens. After I save the config the software shows the setting at 2 MiB. I did increase the number of images per post to 5. file size = 994 KB attached file size = 1040 KB failed I co...

Re: 504 KB Maximum Attachment Photo Sizes

hmm weird. Like i said i had issues uploading a 612kb jpg file yesterday but not a 323kb file. Had to shrink the 612 file to under 500 for it to work. Theres no weird settings for different file types are there? (like jpg, bmp, etc) I see in your max file size if set to zero is limited by your php ...

Re: 504 KB Maximum Attachment Photo Sizes

The lower case 'i' is what is confusing the terminology. The forum software is a bit unusual in that respect, also the default language is UK English so that may be why the size terms are a bit off. The end result is pretty much the same, 1 MiB is 1024 KiB, or 1,048,576 Bytes, or 1MB. One mebibyte (...

Re: 504 KB Maximum Attachment Photo Sizes

The limit is actually 1Mb, so not sure why you can only attach a 504Kb file. 3 images is the limit for an individual post.

Re: Server Maintenance 4/25

Maintenance downtime was pretty quick, a failed drive was causing the raid controller to beep and the datacenter folks swapped the bad drive. File system has been rebuilt and we are all set.

firewall upgrade to my M30 platform

The most significant modification I'll make to my truck is the installation of a '31 indented firewall and '31 gas tank. Was the firewall spot welded, riveted or were machine screws used to fasten the firewall to the body? From the random holes along the body where the firewall slips in it would app...

cab wood hardware

I purchased a complete closed cab wood kit many years ago, though now looking at my original wood it appears to be in pretty good shape. I'm inclined to leave it be and only replace the roof ribs that were broken. Though I do need a complete nut and bolt kit, but I'm not seeing a specific kit listed...
