I used to keep mine around 30-35. If you get up much past that your are pushing the engine. It is only like a 2800 rpm motor. At the 35 mph you are around 2100 rpm. Neil had a chart that calculated the speeds out.

Your best bet is to see if you have an Army center close to you and see if they have any boxes of them laying around leftover from the old ducce and a halves........ Perfect fit....lol

Yes she did go to a good home.... I have gotten a couple of text updates the new owner loves her. Says she drives great and the engine with the old gas runs like a champ. The reason why you would get the two different reading is so that when you go to put it on the trailer you can figure out what the center of gravity is for the truck.
