Re: McCord Heater ?
Thanks for the replies. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. I stuck it back in the mounting holes and it doesn't take up as much room as I had thought. I may just mount it up for a conversation piece. I have been told that when my father in law bought the truck in '46 the heater was in it...

Re: pic of truck
NDTMAN, From the picture it looks like you may have a 32 AAB or BB. Does the title have a VIN ? If so check this web site. http://www.fordgarage.com/pages/ABenginenumbers.htm On our 32 AAB the frame VIN can be seen with the front floor board removed. It should be on the top of the left frame rail in...

Re: pic of truck
I agree with Bob C. The fuel tank is under the seat. If the firewall is removable it is a 32. Look for the VIN on the top of the clutch housing.

McCord Heater ?
Can anyone tell me anything about this McCord heater that we took out of our 32AAB? I know the trucks history since 1946, and it was in the truck then. I have been told that McCord made radiators for Henry. It has a tag that says "McCord Radiator Mfg. Co. Detroit Mich". Model # CH-300. Tha...

Free Wheels in OR
I saw this add on Fordbarn.
http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33547
The wheels are the same as 31 AA, also the front axle and most of the brake parts. And I think the spare carrier might work. Its too far for me to go, or I would be on my way.

Re: Mounting tires to wheels
Back in the day (mid to late seventies) I worked at a small truck stop on the interstate. I thought that we always used to mount truck tires with the split in the snap ring at the valve stem. That is how we mounted the Firestone 600 x 20 Deluxe Champion tires on our truck. But now that I think of it...

Re: Where to start looking.
I agree with Brian about the #4 plug being wet. Is it wet enough to foul it, and have you checked it for spark? And my next question would be what is making it wet? I would think that if #4 was fouled you would have 25% less power. Would the timing gear being off 1 tooth be enough to make a backfire...

Re: Questions from another newbie.
This baby is deep in the woods. Pics are not available at this time. The chassis has really been cut up. Not even sure if it is the original rear end. If it is someone must have shortened the torque tube and drive shaft to move it that far forward. It sure lookslike an "A" front end. Just...

Re: BB parts listing
Note that the fuel line would not have gone up to a cowl tank on a BB as the tank was not in the cowl. I seem to recall reading somewhere about the late AA's sold in '32 being referred to as AAB's. Could anyone elaborate (or correct me) on this subject and on the possible differences in the AA and ...

Re: BB parts listing
you guys have great eyes! what are the clues that give those items away? cos I'm thinking.. this is right in my neighborhood, so if I could argue that those parts are not 32 I might be able to get a deal on it for parts. BTW, does the 32 have a rear that would bolt in / improve an AA? Hardhatz, We ...

Re: WANTED EXPRESS REAR FENDERS!!!!!!!!
I saw this add on Fordbarn for 32-34 Express fenders.
http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26135
They don't look like the fenders on our 32 Express. Could they be for an older Express?

Re: Building a shed for the truck
Looks like its coming along nicely, but what is that green stuff on the ground? Haven't seen any of that around here for a couple months. Also were is the elevator to Henrys' Pent House suite?

Re: Tillotson type X extreme flooding
I had some excessive noise coming from the trans. Ashamed to say, it was the throwout crying for grease. If you haven't done it yet (or lately), grease your joints too- they take almost an entire tube of grease! Not for sure this is your trouble, but it's a good starting place and greasing both did...
