1931 Heavy Duty Express - 242-A

Is there anyone out there with a 242-A Heavy Duty Express truck? I am looking for information. I believe this cargo body was sold through 1934.

Re: 1930 AA157 Platform 185-A

This is just a follow up. Does anyone out there have a 185-A platform body for the 1930 AA157 chassis?

Stake Rack - connections/hinges - Identification Needed

Below is a picture of some stake rack connections and/or hinges which came off of a stake body on a 1930 AA long wheel base truck. They are cast, made in Canada, and are not the hinges used by the Ford sold, US stake racks for the 1930 AA157 or the 1931 AA131 & AA157. Sorry, I don't have a pictu...

Re: AA Express - Parts Request

I searched for my first AA express truck for about 10 years before I even saw one. I could quickly see the major differences. And, after study found many minor differences. Given the lack of correct information and the amount of incorrect information about the TT and AA express bodies, it is not sup...

Re: 6 or 12 volt?

I converted a pickup to 12 volt and I used an alternator, stock starter, different coil (8 volt I think) and 12 volt light bulbs. I put a power reducer (can't remember the name of the device) for the horn. This pickup was my only means of transportation for about five years. The started worked fine ...

Re: AA Express - Parts Request

Hello Ron, I note that your request has been put on the AA-Forums site. So, I will be posting this information on the site for all to see. I have added you to my "Want List" for '30 AA rear fenders. Please note that I have never seen any '30 AA rear fenders (for sale or otherwise). These f...

Re: Which one?

The most detailed AA parts list would be a Ford Parts Price List for the A and AA with a date close to the assembly date of the truck. However, the most common Ford Parts Price List to be found is dated December 1932 and I believe that it is the last A-AA list released just for the A and AA. It shou...

Knuck,
Could you post a picture of the mirror you bought from C.W. Morr? I plan on calling them. But this will not yield an actual picture of what they are selling.

Hello Knuck, Please post contact information for C.W.Moss. And, are they selling the AA mirror bracket and the mirror head? Hello s147881, Club member Anders Jannson in Finland is making the mirror heads and they are exactly like the originals. He sent me some to sell. Below is the ad which I had in...

For the '28 to mid '30 AA's, there is a separate hood shelf which have wood blocks at each hood latch. The hood shelves and wood blocks have nothing to do with installing the front fenders. I don't know of any documentation on this subject. It is important that the fenders be fit before painting! Th...

Ford offered steel spoke wheels in 1931 also on some of the body types such as the Ambulance. These wheels have a larger bolt pattern (same as what started in 1933). So, there are unique hubs and brake drums required for these 1931 wheels. The wheels, hubs, and hub caps are very hard to find. Most d...

Yes, the bracket shown above is for the 82-A closed cab (1929 through mid 1930.

The 82-B closed cab has a hinge mounted mirror bracket.
