Re: Front Hub Dust Seal
Have you tried warming it with a torch and blowing compressed air through it?

Finding a replacement will be difficult. Best to heat and straighten what you have.

Re: Radiator repair and engine cleaning
Boy I sure hate it when I break stuff like that. You are not alone... Before you order anything take your water pump apart for a look see. Very simple to do. You might just get lucky and the bearings, bronze bushing and shaft will be good. Then all you will need to do is clean, grease and reassemble...

Re: Radiator repair and engine cleaning
Looking good! I agree with you that the paint from Bert's is good stuff. I like the color too. With their spray paint I put a very light first coat just to get a bit of tack to the surface. You almost can not see the color its so thin. Second coat is pretty much the same. The third and final coat I ...

Re: Radiator repair and engine cleaning
For cleaning your engine try using Meguires Purple Power cleaner followed by straight Simple Green. It has been a good combination for me. Just be sure to use disposable nitrile gloves with the Purple Power. It is quite hard on skin. You should be able to clean up the crack and J.B. weld it. The key...

Re: FOR SALE: Set of '28 AA Spoke Wheels (AA 1015)
Just as an FYI shipping wheels does not require them to be boxed. You can put a couple of wraps of duct tape around them the same as where the flaps go. Write the shipping information on the tape and send them USPS.

Re: Bushing Fit Question
Use a sharp punch and peen the inside of the pivot to make more of an interference fit. Rough up the outside of the bushing with some emery cloth and then use Loctite 638 when you assemble it.

Re: Play in Rear Spring Seat Assembly
The grooves are part of the design. I believe that they are there to help with the retention/distribution of grease.

Warford shift lever cut out
I was able to get the Warford mounted in my early 29 truck today. The only thing I have left to do is cut the hole in the seat riser for the gear shift lever. Would anyone be able to let me know the measurements of what they have done?
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Wing nut for top bracket hold down
Muratic acid / water mix at 50% solution will remove the chrome plating very quickly. I use this mixture to take the plating off of nuts, bolts, washers etc... to make them more easily painted.
