Re: Spring pack dissassembled (lots of pics)

Re: Left rear spring finished.
Awesome drawing Neil, im wondering if for the hour glass shape is to trap whatever grease/slip plate/ lubricant between the leafs so as they wear it eventually will squish out. When i disassembled my rear leafs i had an odd amount of black/grey powdery dust trapped between them. Kinda resembled grap...

Re: 1931 Ford AA Stake Body for sale New York
Rule One of Economics is that "the value of an object is whatever someone is prepared to pay for it" (and is therefore entirely subjective) Therefore the aim is to bring this vehicle to the attention of that person who wants it enough, and then (because this is a luxury purchase) to hold ...

Front crossmember woes
Well as a go over some final areas that need attention before sandblasting i find more and more. I posted over at fordbarn about what if anything can be done to re strengthen/repair front crossmembers and some say certain repairs they said mine would be much easier to find a replacement. I think i n...

Re: I need help figuring out what's right and wrong

Obviously the ammeter isnt correct nor is the LED sidemarker light or reflector by the seat. Im unsure of how they did the wiring and switche...

Brake cross shaft problems
Well after trying off and on while soaking with PB blaster for a few weeks now i still cant get the rivets out of the ends to get the dang shaft outa the frame. I then noticed in one spot of it right near the drivers side rail the shaft has rusted/pitted about 1/4 of the shaft size away...is it even...

Re: Spring pack dissassembled (lots of pics)
Stakebed, I assume that "spring pack" actually means the spring leaves and nothing else. An original (off the assembly line) AA had the same set of spring leaves from about 4-28 thru 3-31. If the springs were replaced or overhauled sometime in the last 80 years, then they may not be the s...
