Server Maintenance
I need to shut down the forums and the virtualized server the forums run on. Maintenance should run about 30 minutes, maybe less. I'll update this announcement when I've performed and completed the upgrades. (could be later today, or this week, pending my work load.)

Re: Forum Instructions
Just to put a period on this, so I can move on to a real truck, after saying last night that the automatic login hadn't worked after several tries, it started working! So, now on to some rusty iron. Pictures to follow. JPB Glad to hear it is working. The common thread I have noticed when this featu...

Re: Forum Instructions
That's what I've been doing. A bunch of times. And it isn't working for me. When I leave, I logout. When I come in the next time, no automatic login. JPB Are you actually clicking the "log out" button? If so, that is the problem. When you are done viewing the forum, just close your browse...

Re: Forum Instructions
You all helped me with that one, and no Administrators knocked on my door in the dark of the night for being in the wrong slot, so I'm going to try again. How do I make the automatic login work? I don't want to stay logged in all the time but would like to be automatically logged in as the little c...

Re: how do you get back on this forum after closing?????
Hey Brian, I did respond to both of your emails and PM's. There isn't anything wrong with the forums, I log in almost every day as do many others. Typically issues with being remembered by the forums is due to security software (avg, symantec, norton, spybot, etc) blocking the cookie that the forum...

Re: New Facebook Group for Model AA Ford Truck Lovers
Just for the record, I have no issue with any other "competing" AA Ford site, the more the merrier in my opinion. I'm all for sharing the knowledge and love of the AA Truck. Keep on trucking!

Re: Anyone else having issues with PM's?
FIXED IT! inbox was aparently full but had no warning it was.... Thank you for following up on this, I just had a look at the PM settings area (everyone has access to this) and you can see where you can control the behavior of the PM system when folders get full. http://forums.aa-fords.com/ucp.php?...

Re: Posting pictures
Yes, it is fixed. The filesystem where the images are stored was full, took care of the space issue and we should be set for some time.

Server Upgrade - Forum move
Howdy AA'ers Today or tomorrow I will be moving the forums over to a new server I built a few months ago, the IP address of the server will change so some of you may have issues if your DNS doesn't update properly. Most ISP's purge old DNS data every 24hrs, others don't. I'm not expecting major issu...

Re: Why join FMAATC?
I joined a while back and purchased every back issue of the newsletter, money well spent IMO. There is no fee to join or use the forums though and I think both the newsletter and forums compliment each other very well. Even though my truck restoration project has been on hold for the last 8 years, I...

Re: New Spam-Bot Counter Measures
It would appear the questions asked (that nearly any AA owner would know) have prevented the automated signups. Thank goodness for that, it was getting really out of hand!
