28 Express roadster

I Saw this AA express roadster yesterday at the Paradise Valley As swap meet in San Bernardino Ca, as I approached it, it appeared to be an A pick up, I have never seen one for real, they look so much smaller. I have a few pics and a few questions for Neil that may help one of us if looking for an e...

Re: tail light and door info

Hello Dan, If I remember correctly it was around April 29 that they could have either drum or tea cup lamps, my May 29 had a drum lamp, but will need some work to make it look decent, they can be expensive to restore, I am told the re-pros are good quality, the re-pro tea cup lamps are junk, which I...

Re: terrible screeching in motor

I will second that, you could pull the distributor and give the oiler 3-4 squirts of oil leave it upside down for an hour or so and rotate it a few times, even if this fixes it I would re bush it and instal a new shaft.

Re: 1927 Buick chassis

I saw a '27 Buick chassis maybe a car chassis, at Modelthaven that has the same rear springs set up as the AA. Though that this may be of interest for someone that wants speed, different type rear axle housing, but closed drive shaft. Many other simuliar parts as the A and AA? !!! Shelby, Louisiana...

Re: AA-2845 Emergency Brake Cross Shaft Bracket...

Hello Steve,
Here is the e-brake shaft from my 29 AA, appears to be a forging?, I cannot confirm the chassis
# but the engine and tank are May 29.

Sorry Steve, ..... I mis-read that you meant the bracket not the shaft arms, maybe you heard that loud pop noise from down south.

Re: Leaking exhaust manifold.

Hello Sonny, Doubling up the gaskets wont help if the manifold is badly warped, I am assuming the manifold is the one you took off before the rebuild, do not use the green asbestos type gasket, use the copper clad or single piece steel backed gasket. If the manifold is sagged down at the #4 cylinder...

Hello Terry,
Do you have the bearing out?, if so do you see any numbers on it, this maybe a tough one to find at a bearing dealer.

Re: 29 Rear end

The breakdown of the worm axle that I have posted here before, was sent to me from the folks on the Model T Forum it is only very similar, there are many differences in the model TT axle from the 28-29 AA, especially the axle shafts and drum ends, I recommend plenty of notes and pictures, using the ...
