I looked at four cases and they all had the pin horizontal. Some of the pins
were flush with the trans case and hard to see.

Us an analog meter to check the voltage. If there is a bad ground or bad connection
the generator can put out up to 40 volts. Give us a voltage and amp reading.

If you have a stock cutout it does not control the voltage or amperage,it just keeps power from going to the generator when the engine is not running. The third brush controls the amperage not the voltage. You need an ammeter to see what the output is, if it's over about 15 amps that is why the gene...
