Carb problem
I have a original zenith carb on my 1931 truck. It runs well except when I come to a stop and it wants to stall unless I use the hand throttle to keep RPM's up. I have seen or read the solution to this but can't remember it now. Any ideas ? Jeff

1931 Dump
Some before and after pictures to share. Found in 2007 , had been sitting outside under a fir tree many years. Now road worthy , keeping it original looking. Fun to see the reaction of the younger generations ..... "you drove that here!" , "how fast does it go ?" , "how much...

Re: tube flap and tire assy
Where do you get new flaps that fit the 600-650 X 20 tires ? I ordered one from Sacramento Vintage Ford but it was way to wide. I couldn't get the lock ring back on because the it spread the tire to much. The new flap looked like it was for a 750 X 20 or larger ..... Jeff

Re: Seattle area owners ....
Shorthaul ....
Been researching tires ..... Sacramento Vintage seems to have a good deal ( Denman 600-20 , $100.00 ea.). Have you had any dealings with them? If anyone has advice on new tires .... quality of different makers , shipping ..... etc. Let me know. J

Re: More Pictures
Thanks! I'm glad I found a place to share them. I have many others but they are of later models 30's , 40's , 50's .... mostly Fords , with all different types of loads. If I'm allowed or if there's an interest .... I can post them too. I believe that might be firewood...... rather than commute , th...

Re: NEW MEMBER ..... HELLO
I'm putting together a vintage trucking costume of the 30's. I have the type of cap and boots that my grandfather is wearing but have not found those style of pants. Does anyone have a clue where I might find a pair. I think there called "Knickers" ?

Seattle area owners ....
Looking for fellow owners in this area to see what kind of trouble we can get into. I like driving my rig and of course it's fun and safer to go in a group. In my travels I have had some mishaps but carry lots of spare parts under the seat. One day I was out for a short test drive .... everything ru...

Re: Wood Hydraulic Dump Truck
If there's any wording painted on mine ... I haven't found it. I have not cleaned the cylinder completely of grime though. Is your dump functional? Mine works but leaks a little hydraulic fluid out the piston shaft. There's some good info and pictures in a newer book I purchased called "Model A...
