Re: Stuck running board
Since all three brackets are the forged steel, then it is likely that the bolts are rusted to the brackets. Was able to get my sawsall in between the running board bottom bracket and the running board support bracket and cut them off. Did the three inside ones and the board came off quite easily wi...

Re: Stuck running board
It is an early 28 with the left hand brake. All three running board brackets appear to be forged. I will try the heat method next weekend Neil. I can't believe they are spot welded to the supports but who knows what was done 80 years ago.
Thank you all for the input.

Re: Stuck running board
Have you tried using AeroKroil to loosen the nuts? Sometimes it is easier to tighten things til they break than to remove them. Hardware is cheap. The nuts came off pretty easily. I did soak them with PB Blaster. I just can't seem to free it from the supports. I will keep soaking it with the PB I g...

Stuck running board
Anyone have any ideas on removing a stuck running board without mutilating it. I was lucky enough to get the apron off but the running board seems to be stuck to the running board bracket. These are the long boards with three support brackets.

Re: AA model identification
It almost looks like the gas tank was made for the truck as it fits the contour of the firewall perfectly. There is also something mounted behind the coil with some green paint on it and a wire or line coming out the top. Bob, I am seeing the same thing. Henry used up alot of his older parts by shi...

Re: Identification of aa
Looks like a 29 to me. As usual Neil is way ahead of the game here. You probably have a 30's running gear under a 29 frame.tschaeff3 wrote:

Re: AA rear fenders on eBay
I've seen a lot of AA fender pairs in worse shape for half again what those went for. If you shop around you will see that, unlike Model A fenders, these are very limited in supply. I have a nice NOS left but have found that getting a nice right-side fender is impossible without springing for a pai...

Re: wanted door panel
Sorry, I re-read the original post and you are looking for the drivers side. Now I need to ask you when you say drivers side are you referring to the US driver side or the UK driver side which is opposite of ours.

Thanks guys for the information. Since Neil says the judging book lists the D nuts as late 28 I am going to use this portion of the cowl to build my 28.

I emailed Dick and asked what country of origin his fasteners come from. He emailed me right back and explained that he carries alot of NOS fasteners but also finds these NOS fasteners in countries like Japan etc. that we helped out after WWII. That's fine with me as this guty is recovering US made ...
