Re: Dovetail bumper??
On my '28 the inside trim has two screws that hold it down then it slides up out of the way and the rubber bumper slides out. ( At least that is how I took mine out). Not back together yet. Paint is still Drying.

I got new reflectors, Not that great. I think they are not the correct shape. Be sure to get good ones. Not the "Bright and shinny", ones. (nuf said)?

Re: '29 AA running boards
Dad in law made his own. Simply cut to size and weld on the frame around it. Put on the rubber pads on top after paint and they look very good. All depends how handy you are and how fussy you are. If you can weld and get the material "cheep", give it a try. Good luck..

Re: Carburetor
I see no need to. Think about it. The gas in the carb. is no more likely to go bad or do any damage than the gas that is in your tank, or in your family car. If you were going to leave it for the entire season. Well, I still wouldn't. I leave the gas in all my small engines year around and never hav...

Look into the recore route. That way you will know it fits. and you can select the cooling capacity of the new one.

Re: Worm gear swap.
thanks for your input. It is a great help. I need to do a bunch of reseach on the Lincoln Over / Under drive and decide if I should try to put it in while I have the rear end out. If I remember it is 25% overdrive. With the higher rear gears and the overdrive I start to think of just how much torque...

Worm gear swap.
Anyone interested in posting a step by step disortation on how to swap low speed worm and ring gear for High speed. I have the low speed in the truck and the high speed laying on the bench. Also I have a Lincoln Over/ under drive. What will it take to install that? Different drive shaft and tube?

Re: Can anyone tell me the shift speeds for the 4-speed?
I don't know if there is a "recomended" speed. I'd just rev it up and shift. Do it by ear. Soon as things start to sound really wound up, SHIFT!!! (your ground speed will be slow with the low rear end gears you have).

Frt. Windshield gaskets mounting
I've got a '28 with what I think is a '30 windshield in it. Also have the windshield gasket set for a "28 Briggs". Is that the correct seals? And how dose the gasket / Seal mount in the windshield frame? Anyone have a cross section drawing of it? Thanks in advance for any help.. KVO
