The cowl is a standard model 'A' '28-'29 or e'30 probable 28-29 tudor sedan cowl, well put together to a back section of a '28-'29 tudor sedan, to make it into a pickup or truck cab. The tudor was cut off behind ...

Re: Truck/car cover

Nice AA truck you have, Don't know who I'm speaking to, Who ever is interested, but plastic will scratch you paint. If you storage leaks when you may not have much choice. If you want to keep dust and bird dropping off, Go to a fabric shop get some soft material that stretches put 2 yrs. wide and th...

Re: New member 10/26/16 with puzzle

Rick, You have a one-of-the-kind. The hood-front fenders-radiator and gas tank is all Ford AA 30-E31. The door and cab back is something else. The back section looks to be a tudor or maybe a four-door sedan. Would not have a clue as to what make, but it is not FORD. You have a very nice truck and I ...

Re: Building a shop in my back yard in Sacramento SIMPLE

I know what you mean about the the outlets, In my shop in Louisiana I had them every 6' :) along the walls an in the center under works benches and one on each end of work benches. I have 2 110 outlets on my 200 welder. I have 2 outlets on my battery charger and a 100' 220 card for my welder with 1 ...

Re: First startup and drive

Tom, Did you put a gauge to check to see if the flange on the rear of the crank shalf is straight and if the flywheel is true. Any amount of wobble over .005 is too much, if more than .005 variation the flywheel may need to be machined or replaced. :) Shelby, Sacramento In the video it looks like yo...

Re: Flip top AA jack??

I don't think that the flip top jack is the MODEL AA jack. The reason, well I bought a '37 FORD truck from a guy. He said that the flip top jack came with the truck when he bought it back in 1951. This is weird, the guy that he bought the truck I knew very, It was my DAD. The guy bought the truck fr...

The 3 changes in the FORD 'A' engine "28-31

DSCN0925.JPG I use to know what the 3 changes that were made in the model 'A' engine. The only one I think I remember is a change in the rear main bearing oil flow. That may not be it. I don't want to stir any one wrong. But to the best of my knowledge there were 3 major changes. Anyone have any in...

When my lights burned out I must have thought that all the filaments had burned out. I drove home in the dark. The 2 filaments did not burn on the hi-lo which ever was off, but I don't know why I didn't think of this, panic attach I think. Shelby, Sacramento.

ORIGINAL 'A' GENERATOR AND LIGHTS

I was on the road late one evening Almost dark. I thought I having electrical problems (thought) I stopped on the side of the road. I removed the floor board to get to the battery. Maybe my battery connection was loose. With engine running headlight on, I disconnected the battery cables, WAM, a flas...
