Re: Desperately Seeking Brake Drums
From the service bulletins page 514 " Under no circumstances must any attempts be made to turn down brake drums on A cars and AA trucks. The brake drums we supply have a rolled braking surface to lessen any possibility of scoring and it is very essential that this surface not be touched with an...

Re: AA mirror bracket on E-Bay
Mike,
I emailed Si and he said he already compensated you for the bracket.
If you want to send me the bracket you have I will send the one I got from Si
as soon as I receive the one from you.

Re: AA mirror bracket on E-Bay
I bought the mirror bracket. My truck is a March '31 so it should
probably have the AA-17745-C but this will have to do for now.
I think the mirror head is an after market replacement, hard to tell
from the picture.

Re: Hazard a guess on this AA Chassis #???
Dave, I do not think the type vehicle has anything to do with
the year. My '31 flat bed is a type 32F and I have a '48 pick-up
that is a type 32P.

Re: Hazard a guess on this AA Chassis #???
I had a replacement engine in my '30 pick-up that had a
DMV issued number on the engine like that.
I don't see were the pink slip says it's a 32
. I see year sold '31.

Re: Hazard a guess on this AA Chassis #???
444 would be March '31. If it is the original chassis I think it would be closer to
482XXXX through 484XXXX.
482XXXX through 484XXXX.

Re: overdrives
Luke, The shifter is 8" back from the original shifter. I'm going to mount the shifter for the Brownie in the original shifters location so it will look stock. Dave, I bought the adapter, figured it would be cheaper and faster than trying to make one from scratch. That's my mill in the backgrou...

Re: overdrives
There is a shaft that screws into the adapter plate for the pedals. I'm using the original rear end with closed drive line. I used parts from an open coupling shaft to make this work.

Nice looking truck. At first I thought the front bumper was a late one also but it is to wide,
must be off of some other car or truck.
