Belgium AA owner's tow truck

I just received this message from an owner in Antwerp, Belgium. Beautiful little truck... Hello, I recently bought this litte 1929 tow truck. I love the little beauty although it's slow, warm in summer and cold in winter, but when the engine purrs, ( with an occasional bang! sometimes... ) I love it...

I just finished putting up a new shelter for my AA project, getting it out of the shop and into this new outdoor thing will allow me to finish the body work and paint.

Moved the forums over to a new dedicated server (my personal server) yesterday.

Re: BRAKE RODS??????????

What is the quality of the new brake rods from Snyders, Macs, or Brattons, compared to the originals?? Can they be used for fine point judging??? The ones I picked up from Mac's and Brattons were of good quality, in fact they were excellent. However for the LWB AA I had trouble finding all of the p...

You should find the engine number on the drivers side on the engine block just below the head, about dead center. The frame number is also on the drivers side underneath the cab, it is stamped on the the top of the frame rail. In one of your pictures of the interior cab you see a paint can (or somet...

Re: holy smokes my radiator boils over

Can't figure out why the radiator is boiling over. 29 AA...all original. Thought a mouse nest gummed it up so I replaced the core and 552.00 later it boiled again and ran hot. I'm a wondering what to look for? Any suggestions? Tom Moore Don't forget to look at 'non-cooling system' possibilities, su...

Re: Chassis Black

Hi – What is everyone using for chassis black? I’m not so much interested in color as I am in durability. I used PPG 20 years ago and there are hardly any chips etc. Just, of course, the rust on the bottom of the frame. It is, of course, unavailable. Thanks a lot. Vicky I used POR-15 which is black...

Re: A big Thanks to Mikeg

I would like to give, rather belated, a "HUGE Thanks" to Mikeg for what must have been a tiring task in doing the "rebuild on all the elements in the program for this forum". :D :D sunny Hi there, thanks and your welcome! I have a new MOD waiting in the wings called "PHP Ga...

Hi Kris,

If I had to guess I would say it is some sort of capstan winch, or variable speed accessory drive for a belt driven farm implement. I would lean towards the latter though, capstans are smooth so you can get several wraps of rope around them.

Neat looking hardware!

This is how I found this place to start with. Do a search for Ford Model AA Truck Club . That will take you to the home page where are listed history, officers, how to join FMAATC, newsletter, photos, etc. and forums (which is where we are now). If you click on "photos", it shows a pictur...

New AA Forum Suggestion

Hello Forum members, A fellow forum member sugggested a "chit chat" forum where AA forum members could chat about whatever so long as it was not political or religious. My feeling is that we should keep this place relevant to A's and AA Trucks and not just have general "shoot the bree...

Anti-Spam Bot mod Installed

Due to the ever increasing automated spam signups, I have implemented new counter measures on the system to prevent bots from registering porno and other spam web URL's on new registrations. In fact new registrations will not show up on the new user list at all so you don't have to be subjected to t...
