6 Volt LED lights

Do any of you have an Idea of how to LED lights you buy at a truck stop for 12 volt systems to work on a 6 volt system? Or will they work as is? Seeing the LEDs are usually 5 volt.

Any thoughts?

Look in Mac's catalog, The sell a unit that uses bolts to push the spokes straight. I made one and it works great. No slidehamer knocking the spoke loose.

Re: rear spring pivot

Yup: I just finished welding up one of mine. Filed it round, used a peice of sheet metal with a hole the corect size in it to find the high spots and filed away. Dose not have to be exactly round as it only "rocks" back and forth a few degrees. I used 6013 rod and then coated it with "...

Re: worm drive swap.

Dave: I have the parts. But it sounds like, According to Niel that I can't make a total assembly swap. I'll have to rethink this all and possibly go for the turn down the surface and put on a new repair kit solution. First finish rebuilding the springs, then I'll move on to the axel issue. Thank you...

Re: Interior pannels

There are currently no vendors selling original style upholstery cardboard panel for the 82-A closed cab. Vendors are selling cardboard panels covered with vinyl with edge binding similar to original. 82-A closed cab upholstery is the subject of an article in the April 2009 Double A'er newsletter. ...

Re: Break rod issues

Thanks for the help guys. Your all great help. I found out the front support was in the wrong place. So I put in a spacer and now the break rods lines up great. Also I'm getting two new king pin bolts nuts so I'll have the correct size there. ( to keep the wheel from turning too far). Thanks again f...

Re: 1928 brake questions

Hey Trevor: I just finished my cross shaft work today. Not too hard to get rid of all the slop in the system. Start at the break pedal and work your way tword the breaks. I did one wheel at a time. The Model A mechanics handbook walks you throu the process and how to set them up so rears take most o...

Break rod issues

The front right break rod hits the front tire durring a right turn. By a lot!! It also rubs against the running board support. It is now on the outside of it. I'm suspect that the support is from a car, not a truck. Are they different? When I pull a string between the two points the rod attaches to ...
