Counter-weighted crankshafts

Post by dangel3346 »

Did the original AA truck engines have counter-weighted crankshafts? I was told this by the old timer that poured my bearings. If so,
where did all the counter-weighted crankshafts go? :?

No - counterweights came out mid '32 for B engines. Many were retrofitted with with attached weights, and then some were forged. Weights can be cut and placed on the A cranks - the speed mags have details ( Hot for Hot fours and Secreet of Speed) Do online searches. Chris will have much more detailed information when he checks in on your post. Good luck
