Truck Shocks

Post by blgitn »

I was surprised at the size difference between "A" and "AA" rear shocks!

Please provide the shock arm center to center length at each connection (at shock and at linkage ball).

Also note that the ears for installing the rear shock are in a different location.

Bob,
Please measure the center-to-center length of the arm. Thus far, I have received two different measurements from other AA'ers. Also, some pictures of the linkage would be of interest.

Bob and blgitn,
I would like some high resolution pictures (much better that can be posted). So, if you have high resolution pictures, please email them (see email address below).
Regards, Neil Wilson

Neil, I get 7 1/2" CC on the shock arms. The shocks came off a 1938 1.5 ton but you could tell they had
been adapted to that truck. I tried them on a late 31 frame and the bolt holes are the same. I'm cleaning
up the shocks because they have some numbers stamped on them and then I'll get some good pictures.
