Some states didn't issue titles to start with Kansas did't until 1937 so some people didn't remember what year their vehicle was so they registered using the wrong year not knowing any better.

Maybe thats what happened, but arent the front and rear axles different aswell as bodies? I think my body is a 29 because of rear window

Got a picture? 28/29 have very square cabs and tight arched front fenders. AA's in early to mid 30 had 28/29 sheetmetal but 30/31 frames, axles, and wheels. I dont think there was ever a pickup cab made without a rear window...

Wait if you have a title post the "vin" (aka serial number) and we can help decode it for you. That will be the tell tale sign.
Re: My 28-29 AA title says 31
Yes i will get numbers
It does have late 29 rear window and no Ford above window it is a 29 body it does have 30-34 front axle it does not have worm gear rear end. I agree help with numbers will be great. I would love to retitle as a 29

Re: My 28-29 AA title says 31
sounds like you have an early 30 which is like I said - 28/29 cab/body with the later 30/31 axles
Your number returned an April of 1930 so it should be titled as a 30. Personally I would NOT go mucking about with the state...

The AA's used up the model A leftovers till about June 1930. It may not have sold till 1931 hence your title and 80+ years of changing hands things got messed up. I think you will find you will open up a can of worms if you go talk to the state about changing a title. They will most likely want to verify the numbers aka you raise the cab up and try to find the numbers under the drivers side frame rail about where your left foot would sit. Then what do you do when it cant be verified due to rust or lightly stamped and illegible??? Let sleeping dogs lay....

Its rather common to have misrepresented titles... heck great state of IL fubared mine and it came back as a 1929 Ford Grand Cherokee....clearly in error as my carbon copy of the forms cleary state Model AA... Dont you worry though the state taxman wanted $932 that my 29 Ford Grand Cherokee was deemed taxable instead of the usual $25 flat rate since its so old....
Pictures of truck, copy of our carbon copy, and a letter explaining the clerical error sent back to the state and never heard a peep - correct title showed up 3 weeks later haha.

On my '28 the number stamped on the frame is Just in front of the cab. On top of frame. easy to see. I wire brushed the area and highlighted with white chalk. And there the number showed up. Give it a try, you may get lucky and it won't be under the cab.

The truck is an early 1930, Jan-June period. Ford used up the 1929 style headlights on some of the early 1930 trucks even though the official Ford photo shows the 1930-1930 style headlights. The sheet metal is correct for this period.

yup - i would not fret. Give it a good shine and drive as is!
Can you give us a closeup of your pillar mounted passenger mirror? Its not factory but I'm thinking of doing the same for safety reasons. Can you also show one with the pass door open? I was concerned the window would smack the mirror if the door was opened with a pillar mounted mirror...
