Another AA lives

Hi All,
I've been a member here for awhile but never had much to say but I just have to Shout Out today...... Finally after working off and on for the last 8 yrs or so I got the old truck far enough to fire up the old engine today..... ran nice and ran it for about 20 minutes... still needs a lot of work on the body but I'm making progress..... Happy camper here!!!!! The truck was my dad's and grand dads and had set since around 1949 or 50. I have done a down to the frame work up on it .... 1929 Model AA closed cab truck Might figure out how to post a picture one of these days.

You've been working on this for quite a while. Glad that you were able to get the engine up and running again. That's always a good feeling.
If you would like to email me a couple of pictures I can post them for you. I'll p.m. you my address.
You've probably already done so but re-torquing the head would be a good thing to do. I check mine multiple times between running it until it settles down and stays put.

Thanks for sharing your progress. I also have the family AA ('29 hand crank dump truck) used by my Dad and Grandad. I am starting on the same path that you have been on. So far I have been reading a lot, collecting missing parts, and soaking up the information shared on these forums.
