Early left location E-Brake boot
Does anyone have a picture or description of the original early left hand brake handle boot? My truck has the plate that mounts to the floorboard but the boot is totally gone. I’ve looked for photos of a good example of this and have found nothing. Any description or picture would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Doug

Re: Early left location E-Brake boot
I got one for my '28 AA from Snyders several years ago. Give them a call or get the free catalog...
If you actually need a picture of one let me know, I'll go take one..

Thanks, I assume it is the same boot that is used on subsequent models? They have the metal retainer for the floorboard and the only boot they offer is the one for all the Model A’s. They were out of stock when I placed an order for one, but should be in within a week.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Here's a photo of the original LH hand brake boot from the RG&JS, page A-13.

The center sticks up around the handle when assembled.. That's why it looks odd.

Re: Early left location E-Brake boot
Thanks for the information, mine was completely gone when I brought my truck home. The metal frame was there but the rubber was totally disintegrated. I’ve checked with Snyder’s and they do not offer a reproduction like the original. I might try to find a boot that can be repurposed that is similar to make it happen. If anyone knows of someone who makes this boot I would appreciate any lead. Thanks!

Not good news I'm afraid as I've been looking for a boot for over 3 years. I've only seen one reproduction for sale in that period that went for a crazy price. Knowing there are more folks out there that want an original-looking boot may help get some more made.Lewisag1 wrote: ↑April 15th, 2021, 7:56 pmThanks for the information, mine was completely gone when I brought my truck home.
