actually never balanced them and i had taken them to a commercial tire place to do such a thing but was told it really wasnt needed. i had installed the tube flaps and tubes and mounted the tire to the rim and set the lock rings on originally than took the tires in to be inflated in a cage . i have never had a problem ...But i have had to go through the steering components and brakes to reduce some shimmy type problems that came up otherwise truck handles really well. also sorry for the slight hijack here .

best

Mike

I haven't seen any new 600 x 20 tires but most tires has a balance mark for when you mount the tires. The Mark is to be placed by the valve steam to balance tire for extra weight of the valve steam. The mark could be a dot paint or bar-code. This would be on the side wall next to the wire bead. Most tire shops do not know this or don't care 8) ! Shelby, Louisiana.

If anyone has a 600 x 20 tire with one of these markings please post for everyone to see!!
This is a FACTORY installed Michelin tire on a $45,000 2014 ACRA with less than 500 miles. All 4 tires are mounted the same way with the balance spot (red paint) on other side from valve steam :o :?:

yes they work well. but the speed is in the gearing.I was told by Mitchell that you need at least 55 HP to push the overdrive.now if that is the route you wish to go DON"T CUT ANY CORNERS ! when building the motor or the rest of the truck. In order to hit 60mph you'll need 650x20 tires,26% Mitchell and a well built engine PLUS ALL OF THE BRAKES,BEARINGS,TRANS,TIRES,SPRINGS, SPRING PERCHES,BUSHINGS,KING PINS, WINDSHIELD GLASS AND SEAT BELTS, all have to be in peak condition!!!I will see if I can figure out how to post some pics.
