Hello Barney,
The visor is a steel frame with the roof fabric sewn on , I am trying to find somebody in the San Diego area that is familiar with doing this .

Interesting!
Mine came with this aluminum piece installed over the top of a small rod frame.
I have seen pictures of the finished viser, but I have never seen what the fabric was installed over.
I guess it is just installed over the small rod frame?

Re: Sun Viser
Hi Barney, I have limited experience but pictured is what I believe to be an original steel 29 visor frame. I don't know if 29 and 30 are the same but this is what I had to cover and found a big difference in the materials from different suppliers. I remember the option of original or replacement visor cover and everything I ordered was for the original frame and I would assume if you have aluminum it would be the replacement frame. The first visor cover I ordered was to small and the material seemed thin. I ordered a cover from Labaron Bonney and the cover has the sewn panels and although they are not sewn to the frame; the cover fit well, is of heavier materal and came with a muslin type material to cover the frame with before the roof material is installed. Hope this helps.

Hi Roy,
What a beauty!!! I hope we can do that well.
I believe the previous owner had the aluminum installed over the frame instead of covering the frame with roofing material. The frame under the aluminum "skin" is pretty rusty, and we may just buy a repro frame. I believe they are available.
Thanks for your help.
