AA EXpress Running Boards

Post by Bradshaw »

Howdy all,

I was out trial fitting fenders, splash apron, runningboards this morning.

I've got 3 of the long runningboards with raised diamonds and Ford script.

I hope I'm wrong here, but it looks like I have 3 runningboards for the passenger side. The bolts align correctly on both sides with all three running board brackets, but the Ford script does not face forward on the driver's side. You have to be looking to the rear of the truck to read the script, whereas the passenger side you have to be looking toward the front of the truck.

Was there a right and a left runningboard?? I looked in Brattons and they show long runningboards sold in pairs in the AA parts, but I didn't see the script(could be they didn't get specific with the diagram).

Thanks,
Bradshaw :?

'28/'29 AA Long Running Boards

Post by Neil Wilson »

There is only one long board for '28/'29 through May '30. the Ford script is turned the opposite directions on the right and left.

I don't think that the reproductions have the Ford script. Probably too costly to pay Ford for the used of there logo.
