Can anyone furnish me with the paint code for Rock Mose Green? I hope soon to be ready to paint my 82B cab.

Ollie;
Don't know what part of the country you are in, but out west here some PPG dealers still have the mix in their computers. Westco in Everett, Wa. does, but will not ship.
I have the formula in the "Antique Ford Repaint Manual". This manual is still in print.
The color is as follows:
322=40.0, 375=40.0, 358=110.0, 354=300.0, 317=490.0 Parts per quart.
322=Yellow
375=Blue
358=Black
354=Rich Brown
317=Green
Hope this helps.

Hunt around here: http://autocolorlibrary.com/acl_files/ford1930.html They list just about every color known. You will have to chose the year you want to look at. Also, the make up of the paint depends on who makes it. Hope this helps.....

have dupont basecoat formula, rock moss grn

Post by Richard Kinney »

i had to sight match the underside of an origonal hood when i found myself in your position. i found an area of virgin color under a grease spot andknow it never was bleached by the sun. when the match was done the pigments were measured on a scale in grams. therefore the formula is repeatable at any dupont jobber in there croma base line. this mix gives you a wide choice of clearcoats to top it with. although i cannot declare it "perfect" it is so close it hurts. the numbers are kept at my bump shop, so if you want the formula i could post it here in a few days. i know your gonna like it. dick kinney.
