how about this?

Since I live in the center of the U.S. why don't all you come to my house for BBQ and beer, even if a root beer? It's time to break out the old Weber.

Sorry,
Kansas is too flat and boring for me. I like the mountains of California. :D

can we have a bbq posting on the site for all BBQ events at our houses and shops? than if a AA member is traveling they will always know where to go for a bite of bbq a refreshing drink and talk about trucks and other off topic subjects and then some!!
my place has plenty of musicians and Arts people so we have a pretty regular bbq scene here in DC. whens your event TT? put that announcement up on the clubhouse board never know who may be passing through your time zone!! maybe even driving the pride and joy !

Where are you in Kansas? My dad grew up in a small town called Smith Center whose claim to fame was reportedly being the geographical center of the US. Had a big red dot on the water tower with a US map around it.

Dad's company was aviation related and he would fly us to Smith Center a couple times a year in the company plane, a Beech Baron. When we arrived at the town he would always circle the town a couple times by which time a small convoy of vehicles could be seen driving from town out to the airfield. By the time we'd shut down the local Sherrif, Mayor, and Dad's Uncle had arrived to escort their local boy back home. Impressed the socks off of me as a small boy.
