AA dump spare tires

AA dump spare tires
I have recently come across a source that states that dump trucks all had fender mounted spares. My questions are, what do you people think about that? Does the driver's door accually open properly if you have a fender spare?

AA Fender Spare Wheel Carrier
As per the February 5th and March 10th Service Letters, the left fender spare wheel carrier did not starts production until February 1931. AA trucks proir to February 1931 could not have been factory fitted with this carrier.

DUMP TRUCK SPARE
I HAVE A GALLION DUMP BODY AND MY SPARE IS MOUNTED ON THE RIGHT FRONT SIDE OF THE DUMP BODY IT SELF. THE TRUCKS WITH THE SPARE MOUNTED IN THE FENDERS THAT I HAVE SEEM HAVE HAD A BIG DIMPLE IN THE DRIVERS DOOR TO ALLOW IT TO OPEN WIDER.
