1930 Ford Quad Cab Dumptruck
1930 Ford Quad Cab Dumptruck
Here's what Ford should have built for us guys who are 6' 4". This seat will move back far enough to accommodate long legs thus allowing us taller fellows to drive a Ford of this era. Your probably wondering what I did to accomplish this task, I removed the wheel well from a 1930 Blindback Sedan and the rest is Model AA Dumptruck on a 157" wheel base.

Now that's a megacab! I like the colors you chose. Did you make the rear fenders?
Re: 1930 Ford Quad Cab Dumptruck
I REALLY Like that! Just amazing, elegant, and beautifully done. I've been visualizing coupe 1/4 windows to make an extended cab.
Bravo!

Mr AA, What a very suitable name for the builder of that magnificent AA.
Re: 1930 Ford Quad Cab Dumptruck
Yes I split the fenders down the middle added 8 inches. We made 8 ft running boards. And added to the splash aprons
the bed is off a 1930 131 in wheel base truck. When put together fit with in 1 inch of the frame

Re: 1930 Ford Quad Cab Dumptruck
Did you keep the original engine and trans? If so how is it handling the extra weight?

Hello Chris,
When you asked where Mr AA got the white walls , did that mean you are looking for some?, the reason I ask is I shall be removing a good set from my truck in favor of black walls .

White walls came from Universal Tire in Hershey Pa.
The truck has the same engine & Tranny it.
There is no differance in weight
Crusies nice at about 35 mph

Re: 1930 Ford Quad Cab Dumptruck
I'm thinking of using the third window back section of the'30 Murray fordor to extend the cab on my L'30-E'31 AA. I have a '30 tudor that was cut down to to make a pickup, (
doesn't look to grate) I'll remove the rear of the tudor cab and fabricate the truck cab to be an extended cab. It will be simular to a coupe with a straight cab back! Also using a coupe seat assembly and rear window tray! Shelby, Louisiana. The above truck is a beauty
