Engine switch
I have recently acuired a '29 Model A Flat bed 1 ton. It is without an engin and i was wondering if it would be possible to place a V6 or something comperable into it to get a little more power than the origonal 4. If so has anyone done it and what engin was used?

Flathead V-8
I've seen a Ford BB Flathead V-8 put into an AA without too much trouble. Doubles the horsepower, and probably was done a fair amount in the mid-30's anyway - so would sort of be period correct if not factory correct.
I would imagine if the person is really determined, you could drop most anything in. There was a Diamond T small flatbed at a recent show with a big block Chevy V-8 in it - now that took some shoehorning...
